A Mom Memory

Remember before DVRs and Tivo? Before DVDs? Even before VCRs? At the beginning of each holiday season, we would check the listings to see when all our favorite shows would be on television for the ONE AND ONLY time that year. We posted a long list by the tv so we could be sure to be all set up and comfy with our popcorn when it was time to start. No replaying, recording, or pausing. If we missed it, we knew we'd missed it for a whole year. Now, everybody cozy? "Every Who down in Whoville..." (Thank you, Dr. Seuss, for a memorable book and a valuable lesson.)
