A Thanksgiving Memory from our family,
1967.......Apparently this was NOT the year the table collapsed. Yes,
we had a dining room table with large hinged leaves at each end. One
memorable year, the table was all set with china, glasses, silverware,
and food, including the lovely browned turkey at one end, ready to be
carved. With a huge crash, and accompanied by many screams, I'm sure,
the leaf that held the turkey suddenly folded itself down, dumping
everything onto the floor. What happened next is all a blur in my
memory, but we must have picked it up, dusted it off, and eaten it
anyway. How about YOUR Thanksgiving memories? Tell us about them here,
or save them for posterity in one of our Memory Journals .
